Website Design: Jewellery Time 2014

Cortina Website: Jewellery Time 2014

Designing websites is always a fascinating experience. For each website I’ve worked on, almost exclusively always during the study phase of the process, it never ceases to amaze me how many new web technologies and features are out there to exploit since my last website project.

Comparing it from a couple of years back, it’s really cool how much responsive website design is generally being supported now. I guess, with myriad of new mobile devices being thrown at consumers each year, the interwebs is really  evolving towards a ‘mobile-first’ design and designers should really learn to embrace the tech rather than keep on fighting it.

Moving on, my most recent web project was the revamp of Cortina Watch’s Jewelery Time 2014 website. We’ve upgraded the 2011 static website and designed it with a responsive layout. It was really fun implementing the responsive carousel because, to be quite honest, it was my first time to have actually worked on a project that required a carousel feature. Surprisingly, that’s another website design first for me.

#KidForLife (October 12, 2019) This post is a year late, and thanks to COVID-19 most of us are feeling an extra bit older than we should be. But finally having some ‘me time’ to rummage through my photos, I scrolled to this event and couldn’t help but feel nostalgic and remember how this bucket list item made me feel like a child again...

Bucket List #12: Experience Flying

Cowabunga! (October 5, 2017) …was probably the last word in my mind as I struggle to express the unholy mix of sheer excitement and overwhelming horror while I ‘fly’ down across Skyranch Tagaytay’s zipline...
