Graphic Designer – 6 months contract

REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of experience as creative artist or graphics designer in software industry.
• Strong creative skills and understanding of user interface design principles and patterns and how, why, and when to apply them. Understanding of best practices and state of the art in human-computer interaction and related knowledge areas.
• Proficient in Design Sofware Adobe Creative Suite (Windows) – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Exposure to Prototying Sofware, for example Axure, would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of HTML, UI Scripting languages, Ajax or Flex is a plus. Proven history of being successful within a team-oriented environment, a confident team player motivated by a fast paced environment..

EDUCATION

• B.S. in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Graphics Designer will be responsible for User Interface design of the software products and software systems being developed for external or internal customers. The Graphics Designer creates visual prototypes, including screen design and it’s navigation for the software system under construction. The Graphic Designer is expected to work with the corporate branding team to develop designs that conform to corporate standards.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of User Interface Design, Human Computer Interaction to create a working prototype of the software under construction. Uses appropriate graphic design, and UI prototyping tools to create realistic model of the end-user experience.
• Works closely with project manager and requirements management team and units with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to UI design and related technologies.
• Assumes full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and executing assignments.
• Provides expert opinions to project teams. Performs other related duties as required.
